Why is URISPAS (Flavoxate) prescribed?
URISPAS (Flavoxate) prevents spasms in the urinary tract and relieves the painful
or difficult urination, urinary urgency, excessive nighttime urination,
pubic area pain, frequency of urination, and inability to hold urine
caused by urinary tract infections. URISPAS (Flavoxate) is taken in combination
with antibiotics to treat the infection.

URISPAS (Flavoxate) can cause blurred vision and drowsiness. Be careful driving,
operating machinery, or performing any activity that requires complete
mental alertness until you know how you will react to URISPAS (Flavoxate).
How should you take URISPAS (Flavoxate)?
Take URISPAS (Flavoxate) exactly as prescribed. URISPAS (Flavoxate) may make your mouth dry.
Sucking on a hard candy, chewing gum, or melting bits of ice in your
mouth can provide relief.
If you miss a dose...
Take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next
dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule.
Do not take 2 doses at once.

Allergic skin reactions, including hives, blurred vision and vision changes,
drowsiness, dry mouth, fluttery heartbeat, headache, high body temperature,
mental confusion (especially in the elderly), nausea, nervousness, painful
or difficult urination, rapid heartbeat, vertigo, vomiting
Why should URISPAS (Flavoxate) not be prescribed?
You should not take URISPAS (Flavoxate) if you have stomach or intestinal blockage,
muscle relaxation problems (especially the sphincter muscle), abdominal
bleeding, or urinary tract blockage.
Special warnings about URISPAS (Flavoxate)
Use URISPAS (Flavoxate) cautiously if you have the eye condition known as glaucoma.
